It is so odd; the things I thought were unrelated to the fibro. seem to be related after all…
The rocking back and forth, the sensitivity to light and
loud noises and now the itches! I used to get itchy. Found out I can’t use
cheap shampoos and soaps
I also can’t use many shampoos, it is the sulfates in
them, lotions also…that contain lanaeyl.
Because fibromyalgia and chronic fatigue syndrome involve
the central nervous system, we get all kinds of strange goings on in our
nerves. We can get burning, tingling, numbness, pin pricks and itches. This
category of sensation is called paresthesia.
It is a sensation of tickling, tingling, burning, pricking, or numbness of a person's skin with no apparent long-term physical effect. It is more generally known as the feeling of "pins and needles" or of a limb "falling asleep". The manifestation of paresthesia said to be transient or chronic.

I am driven crazy by clothing tags hitting my neck. Love
that many companies now using printed on tag info instead! I get many other
skin sensitivities, too. I have tried Cymbalta, Lyrica and Savella. One after
another, each time hoping for some sort of a miracle. The Cymbalta actually
took away my pain! For the first time in years I had two whole days pain free
until my hands and feet swelled up and I couldn’t walk without severe pain. The
Lyrica just made me want to eat and didn’t help my nerve pain like the
Neurontin, my original Fibro. Medicine does. So then It was decided I’d try
Savella, and It helped me a little until the Dr. upped it to the recommended
dosage and for the first time in my life
my B.P. was high enough to put me in the ER.
I did not know all this. pass along the shampoo/lotions etc... that you can or can not use and why.
ReplyDeleteI buy unscented stuff to put on my skin and I have good shampoo for the girls so they don't pay much attention to mine. I buy Pure Results at Wal-Mart’s Salon It’s not cheap but I get Buy two get one free so I get a extra conditioner because I know I’ll use more of the conditioner. Though it’s like using nothing practically it’s fragranced with natural oils, no smell but it will clean your hair, and its sulfate free paraben free gluten free. {Certified Organic} But I still get bumps when I sweat all over my head just not as bad, it’s all broke out all this week though, Jus something else to drive me nuts…
